Biography:

City Life are a spectacular, high energy, rock, pop, funk and soul function band who pack any dance floor from start to finish. The super-talented stars of City Life have performed alongside Heaven 17, Jamiroquai, Ed Sheeran, Jools Holland and Beverley Knight, as well as appearing at the National Theatre, NYJO, RSC and numerous West End Shows.

The ultra-slick City Life live show features a fusion of stunning male and female vocals, grooving rhythm section and razor sharp horns. Your guests won't be able to control the urge to dance to City Life's eclectic repertoire of songs, which ranges from funk masterpieces by James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone and Stevie Wonder to contemporary floor-fillers by Bruno Mars, Clean Bandit and Beyoncé.

You can customise the City Life line-up to suit your budgets and requirements. The standard City Life 5-piece line-up consists of two female vocalists, guitar, bass, drums, but you have the option to add horns, extra vocalists, keyboard and percussion to really fill out the sound. Plus you can add a 4 piece string section, a roaming 4 piece band set, acoustic afternoon sets and more!

A playlist DJ service is included as standard with every booking and City Life are happy to learn up to FIVE special requests FREE of charge (with ample notice). Provision of top of the range PA and lighting complete the breathtaking City Life live entertainment package!

"My wife and I booked City Life for our winter wedding in December 2017 having spent months researching and reviewing bands online. As a music aficionado and record collector I wanted a band that would guarantee people on the dancefloor and with a sound that would impress even the most hardened music critic - they did not disappoint! Not only did they accommodate an early set up and working with our DJ to ensure everything was soundchecked and set up before we arrived at the venue, but also interacted with the dancing masses to ensure our wedding would be remembered for years to come (I've had almost every guest ask me on the night or since "who were that band. They were awesome") Finally, a really nice touch was they took a steer on the type of songs and vibe we wanted (more disco/soul avoiding some of their more modern or rock sounds) and also with 2 weeks to go learnt 3 new songs for us.......my wife will love Proud Mary (Tina Turner) even more now since City Life belted it out post 1st dance. 5/5"

"The band were utterly fantastic and without doubt one of the best parts of the night. I'm sure they will tell you the dance floor was always full which is actually quite rare I think! Literally, always crowded, never a dull moment. They even let me go up and sing with them (badly). At most weddings the most commonly heard phrase said over and over again is "don't you look beautiful" but I think I heard "oh my god the band are amazing" much more!"
