On 20th June this year Entertainment Nation’s Surrey-based wedding band ‘The Groove’, travelled to perform at the idyllic Stanton Manor Hotel in Wiltshire for the Wedding of Mr & now Mrs Vincent.
To set the scene – the Bride and Groom have tied the knot early afternoon, then sat for dinner and speeches before the Groove wedding band arrive. They’re in as soon as possible once the room has been vacated and they’re all set up and sound checked in about an hour. Raring to go, they get music playing through their system and prepare for performance.
It’s First Dance Time! Mr & Mrs Vincent took to the dance floor to the band performing the beautiful ‘Lucky,’ a duet by Jason Mraz & Colbie Colliatt, a perfectly-suited song for the occasion. Following a few twirls and smoochy moments on the dance floor the starry eyed on lookers gave a roaring round of applause as the song came to an end.
To start the second set The Bride and Groom had also requested a Father and the Bride dance. The father of the bride took her hand as the Groove performed a beautiful version of the Temptation’s Motown classic ‘My Girl’. It went wonderfully well as the bride and her father were joined by other couples having a nice slow dance, to start the band’s second set.
From here on in the Groove were in full flow, performing a hit packed set, containing a mixture of club classics and raucous rock numbers.
Their personal favourites of the night were ‘All The Small Things’ by Blink 182 and Uptown Funk ‘Mark Ronson’. In their own words – ‘The guests were literally hanging off the rafters during those two!!!’
The band had an absolutely fantastic time performing for the happy couple and their guests. The Bride and Groom were so happy with their performance that they decided to leave a little video testimonial for your perusal!
