With Valentines Day fast approaching we thought we’d jump on the love train, but with a topic that isn’t so cliché and overdone – the father/daughter wedding dance!
Our wedding bands are often asked to perform special requests at weddings. These don’t only include the first dance, they also often include the second dance between the bride and her father.
Traditionally this dance came first in proceedings as the father of the bride would dance with his daughter ‘one last time’ before she starts her new life, then moving on to dance with her new husband. Today this tradition has reversed and the bride and groom usually open with the ‘first dance’.
