This time, our featured review is for the incredible City Life. It one of our favourite reviews ever, because it shoes just how far our bands will go to give you the wedding day performance you’ve always dreamed of. City Life went the extra mile and in doing so created memories the happy couple will treasure forever.
Before we get to the review, a bit more about the band. While there are many exceptional wedding bands based in London, City Life are a stand-out act thanks to 3 powerful vocalists, an experienced, professional backline made up of top-class musicians and a high-energy show that’s filled with audience interaction to get everyone in the party mood. The Review
My wife and I booked City Life for our winter wedding in December 2017 having spent months researching and reviewing bands online. As a music aficionado and record collector I wanted a band that would guarantee people on the dancefloor and with a sound that would impress even the most hardened music critic – they did not disappoint! Not only did they accommodate an early set up and working with our DJ to ensure everything was soundchecked and set up before we arrived at the venue, but also interacted with the dancing masses to ensure our wedding would be remembered for years to come (I’ve had almost every guest ask me on the night or since “who were that band? They were awesome”)
Finally, a really nice touch was they took a steer on the type of songs and vibe we wanted (more disco/soul avoiding some of their more modern or rock sounds) and also with 2 weeks to go learnt 3 new songs for us…….my wife will love Proud Mary (Tina Turner) even more now since City Life belted it out post 1st dance. I would highly recommend them for any event, the full 10 piece a must.
