The Lightmen had the privilege of flying over to Mallorca for Abbi and Ryan’s wedding. It was a glorious day at the end of July, with the sun high in the sky and smiles all around. It was the destination wedding of dreams!
Abbi and Ryan hosted their wedding at The St Regis Mallorca Resort, a stunning space and the perfect setting for a wedding, holding over 150 guests. With beautiful views over their spectacular gardens, as well as indoor and outdoor seating areas, Abbi and Ryan had endless flexibility when planning their day.
One thing they knew for sure is that they wanted some jaw-dropping entertainment to fill their wedding day with music. The Lightmen are a charming acoustic wedding band who perform upbeat folk-inspired hits, pop anthems and indie hits with a folky flair. The Lightmen delivered nothing short of an amazing performance, creating a feel-good vibe the whole day through, and the newlyweds LOVED them!

The Drinks Reception:
The Lightmen provided light, acoustic covers of pop and soul classics during Abbi and Ryan’s drinks reception. They filled the terrace with melodic music whilst guests enjoyed glasses of champagne, beginning the day’s celebrations.
The trio’s sets perfectly complimented the sound of guests nattering and set the tone just right for the evening of music that was ahead.
The First Dance:
Abbi and Ryan’s first dance was a true fairytale. They looked sensational on the dance floor in each others’ arms as they swayed to the sound of The Lightmen performing their specially chosen song – “Smile” by Uncle Kracker.
The room fell silent and the lights turned to a gorgeous shade of purple as they took each others’ hand. We are so pleased that we and The Lightmen can make moments like this so special! You guys look amazing!
The Evening Reception:
Abbi and Ryan’s evening reception kicked off with a full dance floor all thanks to a brilliant selection of party-starting hits from The Lightmen’s repertoire.
They had a personalised “R&A” dance floor, plus an abundance of fairy lights around the dance floor and behind the stage, completing their romantic and whimsical setting. Everyone let loose and showed off their very best dance moves!
A little note from the Bride:
The Lightmen were outstanding! The guys travelled out to Palma Nova to perform on our wedding day at the drinks reception and also played two sets at the evening party. They learnt our first dance song which we couldn’t have been more happy about. All of our guests said they were brilliant. Would 100% recommend The Lightmen if you’re looking to book a band that will keep the dancefloor full all night. We had the best night ever! Thank you The Lightmen!

The party continued on until 3am – they know how to do it! It was a day and night of pure joy and celebration. We’re so delighted we could be a part of Abbi and Ryan’s day!
