As a surprise, Mr Shaw secretly booked london-based wedding band City Life for their wedding reception at Hazel Gap Barn. For the new Mrs Shaw, it was the most delightful surprise – even though she didn’t want a band in the first place! That just shows you how spectacular City Life actually are.
With the cat out of the bag, the bride, groom and their family and friends were on the dance floor from start to end. Celebrating a new marriage and a night of love and happiness, it was a joyful evening.
City Life managed to catch Mr and Mrs Shaw for a quick review of their performance.

“We’ve had the best night ever, it’s been amazing. The best night. All the way through from first dance that you learnt for us – it was just awesome – through until the end and the final song, everyone on the dance floor. We had a great time – absolutely great time. (The Groom) booked it without me knowing. I didn’t want a band! I’d looked at them on YouTube and was like “urgh, I don’t know if a lot of people would dance” but everybody was up dancing. It was the best decision ever. The best surprise… It was a huge surprise because it’s worked out to be brilliant. Everyone had a great time.”
“(We would) 1000% (have you again)! (You) made the entertainment for the evening, which when you go to weddings, when I’ve been to weddings previously, and it’s not been myself obviously that’s getting married, it’s the entertainment that you remember, and have a good time at the end of the evening. You absolutely smashed it out of the park tonight. We’ve already had our friend say “Who was your band? Can we have your band?”. They’re getting married next year, and they want to book you next year so. Thank you!”
