What Will A Magician Do At My Event?
First and foremost, a magician will thoroughly entertain your guests! Unless you’ve hired a stage magician, they will likely circulate among your guests, either at tables or while people are mingling over a few drinks. This makes a magician the ideal entertainer for filling gaps between different parts of your day. While you’re off having your photos taken, your guests can witness mind-boggling illusions. How Long Will A Magician Perform For?
For a wedding or event of one hundred people, magicians recommend two hours of performance and this is normally the standard time offered by our performers. This gives them time to ensure that every guest gets to be astounded by their wizardry! Many will offer longer or shorter times, depending on the size of your event or personal preference.
When Is The Best Time To Have A Magician Perform?
If you’re after a magical stage show, we would recommend booking an evening performance, but for mix and mingle-type magicians, drinks receptions are the perfect set-up. Guests naturally gather in small groups to chat, so your magician can swoop in and astonish them before moving onto the next lucky bunch! Alternatively, if you’d rather wow your guests while they’re seated, before and after meals is the ideal time for a magician to work their magic.
How Much Does It Cost To Hire A Magician?
For a standard 2-hour set, a magician normally costs around £450-£600 to hire. More experienced and in-demand magicians will likely have higher fees.

How Much Space Does A Magician Need?
For stage magicians, we recommend contacting your venue before booking to find out exactly how much space is available so that your magician is able to tailor their performance to suit the size of the stage. This will help ensure against disappointment on the day. Each act is unique and has props of different sizes so you need to make sure there is enough room.
A close up magician takes up no more room than a guest. As long as they have enough space for around six people to stand and watch them perform, then that’s great!
Do I Need To Provide Anything For The Magician?
Magicians don’t need much! They’ll just need somewhere to get changed, a secure place to store their personal belongings and of course they’ll need somewhere to park, but other than that they are pretty undemanding. Oh and one last thing – please provide them with soft drinks, as no-one can put on their best performance while they’re thirsty!
What Will The Magician Wear?
The photos on each magician’s profile will give you a good idea about what they wear at events – normally smart attire. However, they are likely to be flexible with what they wear if your event is themed and will normally be happy to wear something to complement it.
