As you’ll read below, Soleil are one the UK’s (and Europe’s) most impressive contemporary function bands you could find for your occasion! Their dedicated and passionate members have been working at their craft for many years, making sure every show is first class for their clients and their guests. Working with the world’s best, Soleil have travelled and toured the world, wowing crowds left, right and centre (and every other way imaginable)!

Who are Soleil?
“A multi-award winning 12-piece band from London. Six years ago, after hundreds of musicians and singers auditioned, the final line-up was selected. The band has since performed hundreds of high profile events and has gained a reputation for creating the most energetic and memorable private and corporate events around the world.”
“Over the past couple of years, Soleil have won several prestigious industry awards and have become the number one choice for many leading planners and luxury venues. Today we are the chosen band for private events at Soho House group, One Events venues, Claridge’s, The Langham Hotel and The Rosewood to name but a few in London.”
Give us a wow fact about your act!
“When we originally formed the band were half originals and half covers. We had original songs signed to Universal Music and played at many large festivals such as Isle of Wight and headlined medium-sized UK festivals. We have since supported many major UK artists on their tours.”
What inspired you all to become musicians?
“The love of music specifically funk and soul. Bruno Mars hit the scene right at the time we formed and was a big influence in our make-up, choreography and our artistic style.”
Which song is your favourite to perform?
“It changes constantly but Annie Stone, ‘Wish I Didn’t Miss You’ for a dinner set and ‘This Is How We Do It’ for the party set are two of the current crowd favourites.”
Out of the songs you’ve been asked to learn, which is your favourite?
“Surprisingly, Rudimental ‘Lay It all On Me’ which we learnt for a first dance, sounded amazing and so we added it to our repertoire!”
One final song question, which is the song you can always rely on to fill the dance floor?
“It depends on the client / crowd – Jackson 5 ‘I Want You Back’ or Earth Wind And Fire’s ‘September’ can always be counted on!”
Do you get on with each other all of the time?
“We’re so lucky that 12 strangers, 6 years ago, have become incredibly close friends today. All boys in our mid-20s when we met, today many are married with young babies – we have grown together and nothing brings you closer than spending over 100 nights a year playing and travelling together!”
Who has the most annoying habit (and what is it)?
“They would probably say, me, the band manager – it’s a hard job at times especially when we are performing aboard for consecutive nights on very little sleep.”
What’s the best thing about being musicians?
“Flexibility and lifestyle and performing to large crowds…it’s special.”
… and what’s the worst?
“Travelling and waiting around especially at large events – if we go on stage at a festival or large corporate event at 8pm we are often arriving at the venue at midday for a 1 hour soundcheck… That’s a lot of down time.”
What’s the weirdest thing that’s happened to you at a wedding/event?
“We’ve been fortunate enough to perform at a number of royal and celebrity events. The band is asked to sign NDAs each time and probably for the best; fame and royalty certainly doesn’t bring PG rated behaviour. The Daily Mail would have a field day with our stories…”
Most memorable moment?
“Too many to mention here are some of the highlights…”
“Playing in the Millennium Stadium Cardiff, Isle of Wight Festival, many times at The BBC, beautiful venues in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Russia, Latvia, Greece, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the U.S. Performing at the weddings of many of our football heroes. Proud to become to go-to band for many of Europe’s biggest event planners and luxury event venues.”
